Protecting Lenders with Precision Inspections

Cody Steward's career in the construction industry spans over three decades, beginning in his family's general contracting business in Southern California — a firm specializing in public works and public school construction. Working his way up through every level of the field over 14 years, Cody developed a deep, hands-on understanding of how projects are built, managed, and funded.

In 2008, Cody obtained a California Division of State Architects building inspection license, serving as Inspector of Record for all aspects of public school construction. It was during this time that he began consulting with lenders on draw inspections and budget reviews — helping financial institutions navigate complex construction projects, identify concerns early, and keep funding aligned with real progress on the ground.

Over the past 15 years, Cody has become a recognized expert in the draw and progress inspection industry. His rare combination of experience as a general contractor, licensed building inspector, and lender consultant gives him a perspective that few in the industry can match — one focused on protecting the interests of all parties involved and keeping projects moving forward.

Outside of work, Cody and his wife Kelly are deeply committed to volunteer work across the country. He is an avid golfer and a proud fan of Dodger Baseball and USC Football.
